** krill is a custom mc for x/y. as such, he takes over the role of calem, and his story progression runs mostly the same.
i realize this backstory may be pretty loose, and is definitely bound to be revisited in the future.*TLDR;; krill became lonely after the events of x/y and becoming champion, because he was aimless again. he was scouted by a high-class clothes store owner and offered to study fashion, which he happily did and set as a course for his life.krill was born to pierre and colette babin, growing up with four close friends in vaniville town - shana and serena, both from the same town; tierno, who originally came from pallet town in kanto, and trevor from lumiose city. as kids, the four frequently met with each other and played together; eventually, all deciding to go on a pokemon journey for various reasons. krill in particular, going for a reason not unlike shana's - that being self-discovery.through a certain rivalry with serena, both being exceptionally good pokemon trainers, krill adopted the ideal of becoming pokemon champion and eventually turn into a pokemon master. for his starter pokemon, he chose chespin. his personal journey turned out rife with battles, making new friends and frequent challenge bouts; not just serena, but also the numerous gym leaders in the region.in his quest to conquer the kalos league, krill had several run-ins with the villainous team flare, and managed to discover and thwart lysandre's plans - which he, somehow, miraculously (definitely), came out alive from. by one year's mark into the journey, he reached adequate requirements to challenge the pokemon league and become kalos' champion.a while after krill became the official champion of kalos - and following bits of the looker incident, he decided to step down from his title and left it vacant; allowing others to take the title for themselves. not even two months later and serena took over as champion. as the kids grew up thinking what to do with their lives, things constantly changed.
tierno moved to johto to study more dance, while trevor turned into professor sycamore's official assistant. serena settled in kiloude for a while before deciding to do her own thing.years passed again. spending time with shauna was comforting; krill had a friend to spend his time with, aimless as he was. with the money he made from pokemon battling, krill developed a hobby of collecting clothes from the numerous apparels around kalos - growing fond of the idea. this got him a little bit of fame within the fashion world, being a former champion.his fondness for clothes began materializing as he became a reviewer of sorts, even gaining attendance with diantha before her next two movie debuts. with shauna finding a purpose of her own, opening a cafe in lumiose, krill frequently visited her and trevor before finding himself drawn to the familiar lumiose apparel. life was... actually quite boring, before he was sought out.a rich man holding a high-end clothes store in lumiose sought the young enthusiast and offered the idea that he went and studied for a year. with not much to do and too much time on his hands, krill agreed - and very quickly fell in love with the profession.the years pass.krill took to traveling the world, not settling in one place for too long - studying as he goes to become a proper fashion designer - one that could one day, proudly counsel some of the best apparel stores in the world.
